The commitments continue to roll in for Indiana football.

On Tuesday afternoon, Cardinal Mooney H.S. (Sarasota, Fla.) class of 2026 safety Laron Dues announced his verbal commitment to Indiana on his Instagram page.

That announcement came just days after Dues completed an official visit in Bloomington.  He was also at IU for their spring game.  Indiana offered Dues in February.

Dues’ final five schools also included Oregon, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and South Florida.  He also had offers from Arizona, Kentucky, Wake Forest, and a host of Group of Five programs.  He’s originally from West Virginia and visited WVU two weeks ago.

As a junior at Cardinal Mooney, Dues recorded 81 tackles, 5 interceptions, 25 pass breakups, 7 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.  He also returned kicks in high school and has the potential to be a kick or punt returner in college.

The 5-foot-9 and 180-pound Dues is rated as a 3-star and the No. 155 safety in the 2026 class according to On3.

Indiana’s 2026 class is now top-30 at both 247Sports and On3.  With the addition of Dues, the Hoosiers now have 18 players in the class.  Here are the other 17, with links to their profiles:
