Indiana football’s busy summer on the recruiting trail has yielded more results.

The Hoosiers got another commitment on Monday afternoon, this one from three-star receiver Kortez Rupert. He announced his decision on social media.

Rupert was among the group of recruits who visited Bloomington over the weekend. He had another visit lined up this coming weekend at Boston College, and his other offers included Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oregon State, and Purdue. IU offered him a scholarship in April.

At 6-foot-1 and 155 pounds, Rupert helped East St. Louis (Illinois) High win the 6A state championship last season. He was the team’s second-leading receiver, with 660 yards on 24 receptions and eight touchdowns.

He’s rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports Composite. Rupert is the No. 168 wide receiver in the class of 2026, and he’s the No. 27 overall player out of Illinois in the class.

Rupert is IU’s 12th commit in the class of 2026, and the first wide receiver of that bunch.

Here is the rest of the class, with links for each player for more background:

    1. Gabe Hill, Naperville, Illinois, DL (4-star)
    2. Henry Ohlinger, Columbus, Ohio, LB/RB (4-star)
    3. Jay Timmons, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, DB (4-star)
    4. Kasmir Hicks, Indianapolis, Indiana, CB/WR (3-star)
    5. Sam Simpson, River Falls, Wisconsin, IOL (3-star)
    6. Trevor Gibbs, Crown Point, Indiana, TE (3-star)
    7. Blake Smythe, Franklin, Indiana, DL (3-star)
    8. P.J. MacFarlane, Liberty Township, Ohio, TE (3-star)
    9. Jacob Savage, Union, Kentucky, LB (3-star)
    10. Rodney White, Towson, Maryland, DL (3-star)
    11. Kenton Mondeau, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, OT (3-star)
