BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Darren Harris show made its way to Assembly Hall during a dominant 92-69 win for IU basketball over Bellarmine on Thursday night.

The Duke transfer put up a career-high 23 points on 6 of 11 shooting. Bellarmine’s lackluster perimeter defense allowed the third-year to have constant open looks from beyond the arc. Harris was 5-for-10 from 3-point range on the night.

The former Blue Devil’s previous career high was 16, which he achieved in February of 2026 during a game against Notre Dame.

“It was great to see him have a breakout game and get 10 threes up…connect on five of them,” head coach Darian DeVries added on Harris. “He’s a kid that really tries every day to give us what he can give…it’s nice to see him have a great night.”

A 1-for-7 performance against Eastern Illinois on Tuesday did not prevent the Indiana coaching staff from giving him the green light to shoot from anywhere, and Harris took full advantage.

Harris showed great hustle on one of his rare misses in the second half. After missing a 3-pointer, Aiden Sherrell picked up an offensive rebound and passed it to an open Bryce Lindsay. After he missed as well, Harris rushed to the paint and tip in the rebound for an and one.

“It starts with my teammates setting me up, keeping confidence in me,” Harris said postgame on his performance. “I didn’t really shoot well the last couple games…trying to look at film as much as I can…making little tweaks.”

Harris was one of four Hoosiers to score at least 12 points. Bryce Lindsay added 15 points, while Aiden Sherrell and Sam Alexis both scored 12. In total, Harris was responsible for exactly one-fourth of Indiana’s scoring on Thursday night, and the bench exactly one half.

IU will have their first real challenge coming up next Monday, Nov. 9, as they will play the ACC’s Syracuse Orange at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tip is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on FS1.
