New IU basketball coach Darian DeVries and his staff have extended at least 19 offers in the class of 2026, and we’ve reported on all of them.
Wondering where things stand? Here’s the latest:
DECISION MODE: 4-star 6-foot-7 wing Sammy Jackson will announce his college decision on Wednesday, June 25. He is deciding amongst Indiana, Texas, VCU and St. Joe’s. Jackson is going to announce at 5 p.m. ET at his high school in Philadelphia. We’ll report on his decision either way. For our coverage of Jackson, GO HERE.
ON A VISIT NOW: 4-star 6-foot-4 guard Prince-Alexander Moody is on his IU official visit for several days this week. He has not disclosed plans for any other visits to this point, making his next move very interesting to monitor. See: Moody visit primer.
2026 TARGETS CONTEMPLATING WHAT’S NEXT: 4-star 6-foot-8 forward Latrell Allmond completed his IU visit last week. To this point he hasn’t released plans to visit anywhere else, and hasn’t set a commitment date. 4-star 7-foot-3 Italian center Luigi Suigo also visited Indiana last week, and he also recently visited Purdue and Illinois. Are decisions coming soon or will they expand their recruitments? We await their next moves.
CONTEMPLATING VISITS: The following 2026 targets have IU offers and have said in various national reports over the last month they are likely to visit Indiana. But to this point none of them have posted top school lists, visit dates, etc.: 4-star forward Davion Adkins, 5-star wing Anthony Thompson, 5-star guard Tay Kinney, 4-star center Ethan Taylor, 5-star guard Jordan Smith, Jr., 4-star forward Trey Thompson, and 4-star center Arafan Diane. Continue to monitor these names for visit dates and list cuts in the coming weeks. For now these are our tier one names on the 2026 board.
2026 MEN OF MYSTERY: Indiana has offered these players, but to this point it does not appear things are trending towards a visit: Derron Rippey, Cole Cloer, Bryson Howard, Toni Bryant, Caleb Gaskins, and Cameron Williams. Obviously we’ll continue to monitor for new developments one way or another, but for now these are our tier two names on the board.
NEW 2026 NAMES TO KNOW: Sam Kayser of League Ready reported on X this week IU is in contact with national top-100 6-foot-9 identical twins Gavin and Gallagher Placide. We’ll have more on them in a separate article.
OFF THE BOARD AND RECLASSIFYING: Collins Onyejiaka and Kohl Rosario committed to Alabama and Kansas, respectively over the last week. Both players will reclassify to the class of 2025.
CLASS SIZE? Only six or seven of Indiana’s current players will have eligibility return for the 2026-27 season, and of course none of them have to come back. That should give DeVries the flexibility to not feel too much of a pinch when taking 2026 commitments. Our best guess is he’d go up to around four recruits in the 2026 class, leaving some room for some strategic transfer portal additions next spring.
