RECRUITING SERVICE ASSESSMENTS
“This weekend, we got to see Moody be a little bit more aggressive, but he did so at mostly fitting times. He utilized his athleticism to knife through the defense for impressive slashes to the rim. He utilized his size and athleticism to be impactful defensively. He also showed the versatility to play both on and off the ball, being much more reliable with his passing and decision-making than we saw during the winter. Overall, Moody is definitely trending in the right direction again and looks like an athletic utility or combo guard.”
“Moody’s deceptiveness and versatile, crafty offensive repertoire has been a major component in his acceleration process. He possesses an adeptness for changing directions, permeating the driving lanes and finishing with his off-hand in traffic. With his adeptness of feel for the game, Moody has sustained a natural mismatch recognition. He can post up smaller and like-sized defenders and also create an issue for bigger defenders with his knack for spacing the floor out and sticking shots on the move. His dual threat presence is evident with his affinity for hitting jarringly open teammates around the rim and feeding the post.”
QUOTABLE
Moody to 247Sports’ Dushawn London:
“One thing I really like about (Indiana) is that every coach has contacted me from the head coach to each assistant. Going into the visit, I want to see how they might surprise me. I want to learn about the history behind Indiana and what makes the program stand out. I’m also interested in seeing how their system works.”
On his own game to Zags’s Blog:
“I watch Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a lot, and some people see a little bit of his game in mine. I like watching Ja Morant and how he gets to the rim. With myself and Smitty (AAU teammate Jordan Smith), we just play off of each other. We’ve really been playing together since the seventh grade, so our chemistry has really been developed. It’s just hard to guard both us when we’re on the court together. Now that we’re on the perimeter more, and with how we’re built and the athleticism we like to bring to the game, I think we’re able to capitalize on each other’s strengths.”
Prince Moody had 24 points (8-14 FG) and 5 rebounds to help @McNamaraHoops complete a 4-0 weekend. His shot was rolling from
