Big Ten Commissioner Keven Warren spoke with BTN’s Dave Revsine following the release of the revised 2020 football schedule. In his remarks, Warren makes it clear that the release of the updated schedule should not be interpreted to mean that the Big Ten is certain to move forward with a football campaign this fall. “It would be purely speculation for me to sit here today and say that this is the percent chance I think we have a season,” Warren told Revsine when asked about the likelihood the season will occur. The Big Ten released its updated 2020 football schedule on Wednesday. As it stands right now, Indiana will start the season as originally scheduled. The Hoosiers will open the 2020 campaign on Friday, Sept. 4, at Wisconsin. As previously announced, the Big Ten is moving forward with a league only schedule. Minnesota was added as an additional divisional crossover game on IU’s 2020 slate, bringing the total to 10 contests. East coast forward Alex Karaban received one of Indiana’s first scholarship offers in the class of 2022 and he remains a priority recruiting target for the Hoosiers. A 6-foot-8 small forward from the New Hampton School in New Hampshire, Karaban put together a strong sophomore season averaging 20 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest. Well known college basketball analyst and reporter Andy Katz caught up with Indiana sophomore forward Trayce Jackson-Davis on the March Madness 365 podcast. The segment with Jackson-Davis begins at the 4:00 mark. Katz also chats with Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon later in the show. A third team All-Big Ten performer, Jackson-Davis played in all 32 games and averaged 29.4 minutes per contest for IU during the 2019-20 season. It has been a while since we have seen good video of class of 2021 Indiana forward target Mason Miller. The Memphis-based 6-foot-9 Miller and other players that IU is involved with participated in the Hoop City Pro Week in July. Class of 2022 guard Skyy Clark also played in the Memphis event. Clark moved to Tennessee from California during the offseason. He will attend Brentwood Academy in the Nashville area. That is the story shared in a Facebook post by Debbie Rucker, the mother of Indiana freshman offensive lineman Brady Feeney. Feeney tested negative for COVID-19 when voluntary workouts began several weeks ago. Since then, he and several other players tested positive. Feeney battled the virus for 14 days according to Rucker’s post, and Indiana shut down the voluntary workouts for two weeks.
