Multiple outlets are reporting class of 2027 UCLA verbal pledge Cain Brackney is taking an official visit to Indiana this weekend.
The 3-star linebacker committed to UCLA in April but Bryant Haines and the IU staff offered in May and have remained in pursuit of Brackney.
His public profile pages at national outlets Rivals and 247Sports reflect his plans to officially visit IU beginning June 12.
The 6-foot-2 and 230-pound Brackney hails from Tulsa, Okla. where he attends Bixby H.S. As a junior Brackney recorded 102 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, two sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, one recovered fumble and one interception that he returned for a touchdown.
Based on the average of the national outlets, Brackney is a 3-star, the No. 802 overall player in the class, and the No. 67 linebacker.
In addition to IU and UCLA, Brackney’s offer list includes Michigan, Iowa State, SMU, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Colorado, West Virginia, Kansas, Arkansas and others.
