Indiana women’s basketball took a hit to its roster coming out of summer workouts.
Freshman forward Zoe Jackson suffered a knee injury during a practice in late July, the program announced Tuesday. She’ll miss the entire 2026-27 season while recovering.
“Jackson will undergo surgery in the coming weeks and will rehabilitate her injury with Indiana’s team of physicians, athletic trainers, and strength staff,” IU said in a statement. “The program will look forward to her return for the 2027-28 season.”
Jackson committed to Indiana out of Oakville, Australia. She joined the program early in January but redshirted. She would likely remain a freshman, in terms of eligibility, upon her return in 2027-28.
IU was unlikely to rely on Jackson for significant minutes this coming season. The team still has Nebraska transfer Jess Petrie, Iowa State transfer Alisa Williams, and returnee Zania Socka-Nguemen in the post.
