Our transfer portal names to know series involves players with confirmed/rumored interest and/or interesting connections with IU basketball.
Colorado big man Sebastian Rancik is a name to know for Indiana during this transfer portal cycle.
Rancik is planning a visit to IU according On3’s Jamie Shaw.
The 6-foot-11 and 220-pound Rancik plays with a modern European style for a big man. He is skilled and can handle the ball in the open court, and he’s a threat to shoot from beyond the 3-point arc.
Rancik is from Bratislava, Slovakia and attended high school in California.
As a sophomore in 2025-26, Rancik averaged 12.3 points in 28.3 minutes per game for the Buffaloes. He shot 40.4% from the field overall, including 33.1% from three (on 118 attempts). Nearly half of his attempts from the field were threes. As an 86% free throw shooter, Rancik shows a lot of promise to continue to improve his perimeter shooting accuracy.
He added 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, .9 steals and .5 blocks per game.
As a freshman Rancik averaged 5.9 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 43 percent from the field including 25.8% (16 of 62) from three. He appeared in 33 games, making 11 starts, all during the Big 12 Conference regular season schedule. Rancik had a breakout game at Allen Fieldhouse against Kansas, leading the Buffaloes with 19 points and nine rebounds, shooting 7 of 13 from the field in 30 minutes of action.
Rancik has two years of eligibility remaining.
