Indiana has entered the mix for a fast-rising big man in the class of 2028.
Led by assistant coach Rod Clark, the IU staff offered 7-foot Colorado-based junior center Jaxon Brooks this week.
A product of Parker, Colorado, Brooks attends Monarch Academy in Kansas City, Kansas.
Brooks does not appear in the latest national rankings, but based on him beginning to receive Division I offers, that should change soon. Indiana was his first reported high major offer.
Before transferring to Monarch, Brooks played as a sophomore at Legend H.S. in Parker, Colorado. There he averaged 8.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 2025-26.
For travel basketball, Brooks plays for the Utah Prospects on the Nike EYBL Circuit. Playing at the 16u level this past spring and summer, he averaged 4.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and a block in just over 15 minutes of action per game.
In addition to Indiana, Brooks has offers from Utah State, UTEP, Louisiana Monroe and Murray State. Those have all come in the last 10 weeks. He also has planned unofficial visits to Nebraska, Kansas State and Colorado State.
