Hinkle Fieldhouse (9,100) • Indianapolis, Ind.

TV: WISH-TV – Will Haskett (PxP), Joey Brunk (Analyst)

    History: Indiana leads, 40-15

Last: IU 68, BUT 60 on Dec. 19, 2020 (Indianapolis)

Butler is under the direction of first-year collegiate head coach Ronald Nored, who spent 11 seasons on the sidelines of the National Basketball Association. He spent time with five NBA franchises, including the Atlanta Hawks (2023-26), Indiana Pacers (2021-23), Charlotte Hornets (2018-21), Brooklyn Nets (2016-18), and Boston Celtics (2013-15).

Like Indiana, the Bulldogs underwent complete roster turnover and returned just one player that saw action in more than 20 games a season ago in fourth-year senior center Drayton Jones. He averaged 6.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 19.5 minutes per outing as a starter for all 32 games played.

Nored and staff brought in a five-player transfer class, headlined by third-year guard Eduardo Klafke (Ole Miss), third-year junior forward Treyson Anderson (North Dakota State), and second-year forward Samis Calderon (Kansas).

Indiana and Butler have met 55 times on the court with the Hoosiers claiming 40 victories. The Hoosiers have won each of the last two games, both played in Indianapolis, and hold a record of 6-4 against the Bulldogs since the turn of the century.

IU has played 20 previous games at Hinkle Fieldhouse, which opened in 1928, with 14 resulting in wins. Indiana last played at Butler to open the 1993-94 season in a game that resulted in a 75-71 victory for the home side.
