Indiana offered one of the fastest rising guards in the 2027 class this week.
Georgia-based Chase Lumpkin announced an IU offer on social media.
Lumpkin is a high-scoring 6-foot-4 and 180-pound shooting guard from Powder Springs, Ga. (McEachern H.S.).
Based on the national averages, Lumpkin is a 4-star, the No. 44 overall player in the class, and the No. 9 shooting guard.
Lumpkin started spring basketball in impressive fashion. Playing with the Jet Academy program, he has averaged 26.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 2.7 steals during Nike EYBL play ahead of this weekend.
In addition to IU, Lumpkin has offers from Miami (Fla.), UCLA, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida State, Maryland, Oregon, SMU, Utah, Louisville, Tennessee, Alabama, Cal, Georgia, Rutgers and others.
Indiana has one commit in the 2027 class, 4-star guard Chase Branham.
