Indiana has announced the time and other details for its annual Hoosier Hysteria IU basketball kickoff celebration with fans on Oct. 2. The event will start at 4:00 p.m. Eastern and run for around 90 minutes, allowing plenty of time before the IU football game at Penn State which starts at 7:30 p.m. Hoosier Hysteria will feature Mike Woodson’s first public remarks to IU fans at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, and allow fans a chance to greet Teri Moren’s squad, which features the return of all five starters from their Elite Eight run. We continue to turn our focus to the class of 2023, and one of the in-state prospects who really surged this summer was Zionsville, Ind. combo guard Logan Imes. After starting the spring with Adidas affiliated Indiana Elite’s 2023 squad, Imes played up during July against the top competition on the national circuit. Indiana fans grew accustomed to game-changing turnovers during the program’s memorable 6-1 run through the Big Ten in 2020.  As the league leader in both interceptions and total takeaways, last year was in many ways defined by IU’s ability to take the ball from the opponent. The Hoosiers had 17 interceptions in their seven conference contests and 20 total takeaways in those games, both Big Ten bests. “I didn’t even know.  I was totally caught off guard.  What are they reviewing?   No idea,” Tom Allen said. No one on the Indiana sideline knew what was coming. Indiana dodged a bullet on Saturday. Starting quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. suffered an injury to his non-throwing hand against Cincinnati and had x-rays and an MRI after the game. On Monday head coach Tom Allen reported that Penix should be fine after the tests came back negative for fractures. “Both (tests) came back good,” Allen said.  “He should be fine physically.” Penix threw for a season high 224 yards but had three interceptions in the 38-24 loss to Cincinnati. “He made some really good throws that not many guys can make,” Allen said on Monday.  “But the mistakes were costly,…
