Indiana added North Carolina based linebacker Jamari Farmer to its 2025 class on Monday. Farmer announced his commitment to IU on his X account. “From the moment I stepped onto Memorial Stadium, I felt the undeniable energy and passion that defines Hoosier football,” Farmer wrote. Indiana football’s recruiting class of 2025 is quite fluid at the moment. Defensive back Chris McCorkle, who was one of the top verbal commits in IU’s rising senior class, announced on Sunday evening he’s no longer committed to play for IU. The Florida-based safety has maintained an active recruitment since his April verbal to the Hoosiers.  He was at Michigan State for a visit this weekend. McCorkle is the second player in the last week to decommit, following Travares Daniels. For the second time this week, Indiana showed they are not done advancing their efforts with class of 2025 prospects. On Saturday, top-75 rising senior shooting guard Davis Fogle announced an offer from IU. With the full IU staff in attendance at the NBPA Top-100 Camp in Florida, Fogle was widely viewed as one of the best players at the event. Fogle is a 4-star, and the No. 17 shooting guard in the class according to the On3 Industry Average. Indiana is hosting a team camp on Saturday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and Cook Hall. The Mike Woodson Team Shootout features several of the areas top prospects and high school teams, including several IU basketball recruiting targets in the classes of 2025 through 2027. Forty athletes will represent the Indiana swimming and diving program at U.S. Olympic Team Trials between June 15-23, seeking qualification for the 2024 Paris Games. Thirty-one Hoosiers will compete in the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis, June 15-23. For the first time ever, the event will be staged on a football field as Lucas Oil Stadium plays host to the qualifying event. Meanwhile, nine divers are set to participate in the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials, running June 17-23 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Fans can watch both meets on NBC platforms. The 2028 Olympic Games will be in the United States. But legendary former IU swimmer Lilly King says she’ll be a spectator in Los Angeles. In a press conference prior to the 2024 U.S. Olympic trials, the 27-year-old King confirmed that if she qualifies for the 2024 Games in Paris, they would be her final Olympics. “I will be watching in Los Angeles (in 2028) and I’m good with that decision,” King said. “I will not be going another four years, I’ll be cheering on the team.” King did not announce her retirement from the sport, however.  Right now she…

Former IU basketball player and assistant coach Mike Roberts has been named as an assistant coach for the UTEP men’s basketball team, head coach Joe Golding announced Friday. Roberts most recently coached at Cincinnati from 2021-23. He also previously held full-time coaching positions at Indiana (2019-21), UNC Greensboro (2012-19), Rice (2008-12) and Cal (2007-08). Roberts entered the coaching profession as a graduate assistant under the late Naismith Hall of Famer Bob Knight at Texas Tech (2005-06) before serving as a video coordinator at Cal (2006-07). Roberts played at Indiana from 2000-05, including being on the 2002 NCAA Tournament runner-up team.…
