Indiana has a chance to close one of the top cornerbacks in the high school recruiting class of 2027 soon.

That’s according to Steve Wiltfong of Rivals, who joined his national recruiting analyst counterpart Allen Trieu at the outlet with a prediction the Hoosiers will land 4-star (East St. Louis H.S., East St. Louis, Ill.) Raheem Floyd.

Wiltfong disclosed that prediction on a recent Rivals podcast.

Floyd has an April official visit scheduled to Bloomington, and both Wiltfong and Trieu believe there’s a good chance Floyd will commit this spring.

According to the national average, Floyd is a 4-star prospect, the No. 182 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 22 cornerback.

Floyd’s offer list includes Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, Texas, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Iowa, Kansas State, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Kentucky, West Virginia and Purdue.

On a separate Rivals podcast, Trieu shared more insights on other 2027 IU football targets:

    • He says Alabama and IU are the main schools for 5-star wide receiver Monshun Sales, with the Tide being the favorite, but Indiana’s relationships keeping them in contention.
    • Trieu says 3-star in-state (Brownsburg H.S.) slot receiver Branden Sharpe is a heavy IU lean and could commit to the Hoosiers this spring.  He has an IU official visit in May.
    • He also said he believe Cincinnati, Ohio 4-star edge rusher Antwoine Higgins (No. 293 overall, No. 29 edge) will end up committing to IU.  He has an IU official visit in April.
