14 former IU football players  are currently with NFL teams as we are now past the draft and free agency, and approach another summer of training camps and roster cuts.

Organized Team Activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamps are in late May and early June.

Training camps open around the league in mid-to-late July, and the preseason begins in early August.

Here are the former IU players currently under contract with teams around the NFL:

Ryder Anderson – DE, New York Giants

Anderson signed with the Giants as a free agent in 2022.  While most of his time has been spent on the practice squad, he has played in seven games, all in 2022, and he had two sacks.

Andre Carter – DE, Jacksonville Jaguars

Carter signed an undrafted free agent deal this spring with Jaguars and will try to make the team during training camp.

Aaron Casey – LB, Cincinnati Bengals

Casey signed an undrafted free agent deal this spring with the Bengals and will try to make the team during training camp.

Dan Feeney – OL, Minnesota Vikings

Feeney signed with the Vikings during the offseason.  He is entering his eighth season in the NFL, after playing for the Chargers, Jets, and most recently the Bears.  According to Spotrac he will have earned $15.7 million through 2024.

Luke Haggard – OL, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Haggard spent his rookie season on the Tampa Bay practice squad a year ago and is back with organization for 2024.

Peyton Hendershot – TE, Dallas Cowboys

Hendershot is entering his third season with Dallas.  He has played in 25 games and has 15 receptions for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns for his career.

Caleb Jones – OL, Green Bay Packers

Jones is entering his third season with Green Bay.  After battling a health issue in 2022, he played in one game during the 2023 season.

Cam Jones – LB, Kansas City Chiefs

Jones made the Chiefs in 2023 as an undrafted free agent.  He played in 17 games and started once.  Jones had 17 tackles. He was injured and did not participate in the postseason, but Jones won a Super Bowl ring with Kansas City.

Marcelino McCrary-Ball – LB, New York Jets

McCrary-Ball is entering his third season in the NFL and second with the Jets.  Mostly a practice squad player to this point, he appeared in his only two career games during the 2023 season.

Micah McFadden – LB, New York Giants

McFadden will look to build on two successful seasons with the Giants.  In two years he has played in 33 games with 21 starts, including 14 starts in 2023.  He has amassed 160 tackles including 18 for a loss.  McFadden has added 5 passes defensed, an interception, a forced fumble, 3 fumble recoveries, 3 sacks and 8 QB hits.

Nate Sudfeld – QB, Detroit Lions

Sudfeld is entering his eighth year in the league, joining Feeney as the longest-tenured former Hoosiers in the NFL.  Despite his long time in the league, Sudfeld has only played in six games and he’s thrown just 37 passes for 188 yards and a score.  He’s earned $11.6 million through 2024 according to Spotrac.

Ian Thomas – TE, Carolina Panthers

Thomas is entering his seventh year in the NFL, all with the Panthers.  He’s played in 94 games and has 116 receptions for 1,055 yards for his career.  He’ll hit $14.5 million in career earnings through 2024 according to Spotrac.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – WR, Tennessee Titans

After going undrafted in 2020, Westbrook-Ikhine is entering his fifth season in the league.  He’s played in 61 games, all with Tennessee, and has 94 receptions for 1,276 yards and 10 touchdowns.  Westbrook-Ikhine signed a new 1-year, $2 million deal with the Titans during the offseason.

Jaylin Williams – CB, Minnesota Vikings

Williams played in three games for Minnesota in 2023 after signing as an undrafted free agent and spending most of the year on the practice squad.  He played 38 total snaps including special teams, and Williams registered a tackle.

    Notes:

    • Former Chargers safety Raheem Layne is currently a free agent.
    • Former Eagles cornerback Tiawan Mullen is currently free agent.
    • NFL veteran Rodger Saffold is currently a free agent.
