Watch: TJD blocks JHS in NBA preseason debuts, IU football team at WWE event

Since they typically practiced together on the first team, Jalen Hood-Schfino may not have encountered Trayce Jackson-Davis very often at the rim while they were teammates at Indiana.

But Hood-Schifino found out on Saturday evening why TJD is Indiana’s all-time blocks leader.

In their NBA preseason debuts, Jackson-Davis swatted his former teammate in a reunion in the paint at the Chase Center in San Francisco:

The Warriors won the preseason contest, 125-108.  Both former IU players came off the bench.

TJD played 15 minutes and produced two blocks, two steals, a rebound and an assist on the evening.

Hood-Schifino played 23 minutes and scored seven points on 3-of-11 shooting.  He added six rebounds, three turnovers, two assists, a steal and a block.

Meanwhile, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, members of the IU football team were front and center at a WWE event.  Quarterback Tayven Jackson and others could be seen on a broadcast.

Offensive linemen Mike Katic and Bray Lynch, and safety Bryson Bonds could also be seen in the shot.

In case you don’t know, IU walk-on running back Declan McMahon is part of the WWE McMahon family.  He’s the grandson of founder Vince McMahon, and the son of Shane McMahon.

McMahon could be seen holding a special IU belt on the video.  Indiana also uses another custom-made WWE style belt as its takeaway prop.

Tom Allen wants to see more of IU football’s “legit, heavy, big” WWE takeaway belt
