Indiana football moved up two spots to No. 7 in the latest coaches poll released following their bye week. They passed both Penn State and Texas this week.
The 5-0 Hoosiers will next head to No. 2 Oregon this Saturday in Eugene (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS) for a national top-10 matchup.
The Big Ten continues to dominate the top of the coaches poll, with Ohio State (1), Oregon (2), and now Indiana forming the top-7. Also ranked from the league are Michigan (15) and Illinois (17). Washington, USC, Nebraska and Iowa are all receiving votes.
In the new AP poll released later, IU moved up a spot to No. 7. Oregon dropped a spot and is now No. 3. Only Ohio State (1), Michigan (15) and Illinois (17) are the other Big Ten schools ranked in the AP. Penn State dropped out after losing to UCLA.
In the computer rankings, IU moved up one spot in ESPN’s FPI to No. 4. That model gives the Hoosiers a 30.5% chance to beat Oregon in Eugene this weekend.
In ESPN’s SP+ model IU held at No. 3.
Indiana has been ranked every week of the 2025 season. 19 of their 86 all-time appearances in the AP poll have come in the last two seasons.
