IU football week two: Odds, projections, gameday details for Kennesaw State

The 2025 IU football season is here, and we are moving right along into week two.

Coming off a season opening win over Old Dominion, Indiana hosts Kennesaw State this Saturday at Noon ET (FS1).

The Owls are led by quarterback Dexter Williams, who spent four seasons in Bloomington.  KSU lost on the road to Wake Forest 10-9 in week one.  Williams was 12 of 33 passing for 149 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.  He also rushed 14 times for 44 yards and was sacked twice.

So what’s the outlook for this Saturday in Bloomington?

The gambling forecast in Vegas is calling IU around a 35.5-point favorite, give or take a half point at various outlets.

ESPN’s FPI model gives IU a 94.6% chance to win vs Kennesaw State.  The Hoosiers moved down four spots to No. 29 in FPI following their win over ODU.  The Owls are No. 122 in the FPI model, moving up 10 spots following their one-point loss at Wake Forest.  In case you’re wondering, Wake Forest is No. 96, 14 spots below Old Dominion.

The early weather forecast for Saturday appears to once again be picture perfect, with kickoff temperatures around 70, and no precipitation or meaningful wind anticipated. Obviously you’ll want to check back on that later in the week.

To help you plan for this Saturday, here are the gameday details for Memorial Stadium in Bloomington:

    • 7 a.m. — Tailgating & Parking Lots Open
    • 9:30 A.M — B-Town Boulevard Opens
    • 9:35 A.M. — The Walk & Gameday Rally
    • 10:00 A.M. — Stadium Gates Opens
    • 11:30 a.m. — Marching Hundred Pregame Show
    • 12 p.m. — Kickoff vs. Kennesaw State

Special Events Set for Week Two
IU Football will host Youth Sports Day and Hoosier Bison Buddies Club Day on Sept. 6 in conjunction with the Kennesaw State game. Youth Sports Day is open to children ages 5-12 and will feature a youth runout on the Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium prior to the game. The Hoosier Bison Buddies Club, meanwhile, is IU’s new, rebranded, kids club. Like the Youth Sports Clinic participants, Bison Buddies Club members will be invited to the field as well during the pre-game to run onto the field. Bison Buddies Club members are invited to a special breakfast on gameday with Hoosier The Bison and friends.
