Indiana landed Cincinnati transfer defensive back Jiquan Sanks on Sunday based on multiple reports.
Over the last two years, Sanks has 92 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Sanks will likely play rover for IU, but should have the versatility to play multiple positions on the back end for the Hoosiers.
The 5-foot-11 and 195-pound Sanks has two years of eligibility remaining.
As a sophomore in 2025 Sanks played in all 12 games had 50 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, and four pass breakups. He played 506 snaps and lined up in the box, at free safety, and in the slot.
As a freshman in 2024 he appeared in all 12 games, starting five. Sanks became the first true freshman to start a season opener for Cincinnati since Marquise Copeland in 2015. He collected 42 tackles and one TFL, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup on the season. Sanks played 296 snaps as a freshman.
According to PFF grades, the strength of Sanks’ game is tackling and run defense.
The product of Columbus, Ga. was a consensus 3-star who chose Cincinnati over IU and others out of high school.
