Our transfer portal names to know series involves players with confirmed/rumored interest and/or interesting connections with IU basketball.

Wake Forest transfer guard Juke Harris is a name to know for IU basketball for this transfer portal cycle.

Harris is a 6-foot-7 and 200-pound wing from Salisbury, N.C.  New IU assistant Thomas Carr has deep connections in North Carolina.  Harris was also recruited heavily by Tennessee when IU assistant Rod Clark was there.

He has two years of eligibility remaining.

One wrinkle with Harris — he has also declared for the NBA Draft, so wherever he lands that program will have to await the outcome of that process.

Harris was the ACC’s most improved player in 2025-26 and widely considered one of the top players in the transfer portal.

As a sophomore in 2025-26, Harris averaged 21.4 points in 28.1 minutes per contest.  He started all 35 games and added 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 assists.  Harris’ shooting splits were 44.4% overall, 33.2% from three (on 262 attempts), and 78.3% from the stripe.

He is in the Wake Forest program record books for several marks from his sophomore campaign.

    • 35-straight games with 10+ points to start 2025-26 season (No. 1 all-time)
    • 730 points during 2025-26 season (No. 2 all-time)
    • 22.9 points per game in ACC play during 2025-26 season (No. 2 all-time)
    • 195 free throws made during 2025-26 season (No. 7 all-time)
    • 87 three pointers made during 2025-26 season (T-No. 7 all-time)
    • 21.4 points per game during 2025-26 season (No. 17 all-time)

As a freshman Harris appeared in 31 games for Wake Forest with one start.  He averaged 6.1 points per game, shooting 42.6 percent from the field (63-of-148).  He reached double figures in scoring five times.

Harris was a consensus 4-star at Salisbury H.S. He was the No. 40 shooting guard in the 2024 class.

The transfer portal formally opens on April 7.  For more portal names to know, follow our complete coverage of IU basketball recruiting HERE.
