Indiana is after one of the most coveted freshmen in the transfer portal.
In a highly competitive recruitment, 6-foot-4 and 200-pound New Mexico transfer shooting guard Jake Hall is a name to know.
Early reports have IU, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, UConn and many others in pursuit.
Hall helped lead New Mexico to a 26-11 season and a run to the NIT semifinals.
Hailing from Carlsbad, Calif., Hall was the the 2025-26 Mountain West Freshman of the Year and First Team all conference. He made a school record 117 3-pointers in 2025-26 (4th most threes ever by a Division I freshman).
Hall started all 37 games (setting UNM single-season starts record) and set UNM and Mountain West freshman scoring records with 605 points. He averaged 16.4 points per game.
His shooting splits were very impressive, especially for a true freshman. Hall made 47.9% of his shots overall, including 43.8% from three on 267 attempts. He also made 80% of his free throws. Hall added 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 turnovers per contest.
Hall scored 3,106 career high school points, the second most in San Diego high school history. He was two-time all-state, averaged 28.5 points as a senior, and was a 3-star prospect.
