As Indiana shows interest in transfer portal prospects we’ll provide a quick profile with our transfer portal names to know series.

Of course we’ll cover prospects more if things progress beyond initial interest.

Next up is Monmouth center Nikita Konstantynovskyi.  Konstantynovskyi told The Daily Hoosier he’s had multiple conversations with Indiana recently.  With three scholarships still open, the frontcourt is still an area of need for the 2024-25 season.

The 6-foot-10 and 245-pound Konstantynovskyi is coming off his most productive season of college basketball — his lone season at Monmouth.  He started in 32 of 33 games this past season and averaged 9.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, while going 53 percent from the floor in 23.5 minutes per contest.  He’s a career 64.5% free throw shooter, and he’s never made a three-pointer.

The Kyiv, Ukraine product additionally had 30 assists, 20 blocks and 17 steals. In February, he recorded 22 points 20 rebounds against Stony Brook.

Konstantnovkyi proved to be a very productive rebounder this past season.  He was No. 45 nationally in defensive rebounding rate (25%) and No. 51 in offensive rebounding rate (13.3%).  His conference offensive rebounding rate was best in the Coastal Athletic Conference.

He played for two seasons at Tulsa before transferring to Monmouth.  He had a limited role at Tulsa.  Konstantynovskyi played his first two seasons at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M junior college.

Some of the other schools reported to be involved by On3’s Jamie Shaw include Xavier, San Francisco, Stanford, Arizona State, Saint Louis, Iona, Florida International, Temple, Duquesne, UC Santa Barbara, Sam Houston, Portland and Seattle.

He should have one year of eligibility remaining.

His 2023-24 season highlights are below.
