    Here’s how former IU football players did in week one of the NFL season

    Here is a summary of how former IU football players performed in week one of the 2026 NFL season.

    Zach Hiney and Mike Schumann contributed to this report.

    Fernando Mendoza, QB (Las Vegas Raiders) – Did not play, backup quarterback.

    Ian Thomas, TE (Las Vegas Raiders) – Played 31 offensive snaps.  Did not register any stats.

    Micah McFadden, LB (New York Giants) – Played 11 special teams snaps.  Did not register any stats.

    Riley Nowakowski, TE (Pittsburgh Steelers) – Played 8 offensive snaps and 17 special teams snaps.  2 tackles, 1 solo.

    Ke’Shawn Williams, WR (Cincinnati Bengals) – Did not play, inactive.

    Kurtis Rourke, QB (San Francisco 49ers) – Did not play, inactive.

    Kaelon Black, RB (San Francisco 49ers) – Played 28 offensive snaps. 14 carries, 65 yards, 1 reception, 5 yards.

    CJ West, DT (San Francisco 49ers) – Played 23 defensive and 1 special teams snaps.  Had 2 tackles, 1 solo.

    Myles Price, WR (Minnesota Vikings) – Played 3 offensive snaps and 9 on special teams.  Had 5 kick returns, 179 yards, 1 punt return, 13 yards.

    Pat Coogan, OL (Tennessee Titans) – Played 2 special teams snaps.

    Aiden Fisher, LB (Houston Texans) – Did not play, inactive.

    Kahlil Benson, OL (Kansas City Chiefs) – Played 69 offensive snaps, and 5 on special teams.  Started at left tackle.

    Omar Cooper, Jr., WR (New York Jets) – Played 5 offensive snaps.  Had 1 reception, 30 yards (Note:  Cooper was injured during the game).

    D’Angelo Ponds, DB (New York Jets) – Did not play, inactive.

    Marcelino McCrary-Ball, LB (New York Jets) – Played 5 defensive and 20 special teams snaps.  Had a tackle and a forced fumble.

    Luke Haggard, OL (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – Played 5 special teams snaps.

    Dan Feeney, OL (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – Did not play, reserve offensive lineman.

    Elijah Sarratt, WR (Baltimore Ravens) – Did not play, inactive.

    ON NFL PRACTICE SQUADS

    • Roman Hemby – Las Vegas Raiders
    • Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – Indianapolis Colts
    • Raheem Layne – New York Giants
