Atlanta, Ga. native Marcus Foster is transferring after five years at Furman. Indiana has made initial contact.
The 6-foot-4 Foster averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting 42.5 percent overall and 29.7 percent from three. That followed consecutive seasons when he shot 35 percent or better from deep. He suffered a midseason knee-injury this year but returned after a one-month absence.
A year ago Foster played in all 36 games and averaged 10.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting 36.1% from three-point range.
Foster should have one year of eligibility remaining.
