Class of 2027 wing Gabe Nesmith is a name to know during this recruiting cycle.
Indiana offered Nesmith a scholarship in February.
Based on the average of the national rankings, Nesmith is a 4-star, the No. 17 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 5 small forward.
A product of West Palm Beach, Fla., the 6-foot-5 Nesmith attends Overtime Elite in Atlanta.
Prior to joining OTE, Nesmith played his sophomore season for Prolific Prep in Napa, California where he helped lead the team to a record of 35-6 and to the semi-finals of Chipotle Nationals. He played for Montverde as a freshman and won Chipotle Nationals alongside now NBA players Cooper Flagg, Derik Queen, Asa Newell and Liam McNeeley.
For travel basketball, Nesmith plays for the NightRydas on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He’s a high-scoring wing with the ability to produce at all three levels. In 11 games this spring he has averaged 18.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while shooting 42% overall, 28.6% from three, and 76.7% from the stripe.
Nesmith’s father and older brother were both college athletes.
Nesmith also holds offers from Kansas, Auburn, Tennessee, Louisville, USC, Rutgers, Arizona State, N.C. State, Washington, South Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and Florida State.
As with all prospects in the 2027 class, the milestones to watch for this summer are list cuts and official visits scheduled.
