Indiana Basketball: Jordan Hulls to Will Sheehey — Willkommen!

An overseas trip might be in order for Hoosier fans.

The band is getting back together — not in Bloomington, but this time in Wurzburg, Germany.

Coming off a strong season that saw him garner multiple FIBA awards, Jordan Hulls will now be joined in Germany by former Indiana teammate Will Sheehey.

Playing for s.Oliver Wurzburg, Hulls averaged 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this year while shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 49.0 percent from three-point range and 84.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bloomington native was voted by the fans as the best overall guard and the FIBA Europe Cup MVP for his efforts.

Sheehey will join s.Oliver Wurzburg from FC Porto in Portugal.  There Sheehey was eighth in scoring with 19.4 points per game while adding 5 rebounds and shooting 43.2 percent from three-point range.

Hulls was quoted by s.Oliver Wurzburg on Sheehey joining the team.

“We were not only teammates, but also roommates. He’s one of my closest friends and I’m really happy to be playing together again in the coming season, “said Würzburg top scorer Jordan Hulls.” Will is a very ambitious guy, he hates losing. He is also one of the smartest players I know, making it easier for all players on the floor. I think he will fit in very well with our team and that we will have as good team chemistry with him as we did last season. “

Hulls came to Indiana in the class of 2009, with Sheehey following in 2010.  The pair formed an integral part of a program rejuvenation that culminated in a 2013 outright Big Ten title.
