The 2025 NFL season is underway, and six former Hoosiers saw the field in week five.

Here’s a quick overview of how they performed.

Dan Feeney – Tampa Bay Buccaneers, OL

Feeney was active in week five but did not play in his third game with the Bucs.  He has played in 120 games over the last eight seasons.  Tampa Bay is his fifth NFL team on the active roster.

Luke Haggard – Tampa Bay Buccaneers, OL

After spending the last two years on Tampa Bay’s practice squad, Haggard made his NFL debut this season.  He made his third straight start this past Sunday.

Haggard played 61 snaps on offense and six on special teams in a win over Seattle.  At PFF he received average pass blocking grade and run blocking grades.  He did not allow any pressures.  Tampa’s offense produced 38 points in a win.

Cam Jones – New York Jets, LB

Jones played two snaps on defense and did not record any stats.  He played 21 special teams snaps in week five on five different units against Dallas.  He posted a tackle and at PFF had the highest overall special teams grade on the team.

On the season, Jones has four tackles in five games.  For his three-year career he has 40 tackles in 39 games with two starts.

Marcelino McCrary-Ball – New York Jets, LB

McCrary-Ball suffered a hamstring injury in week three and was placed on injured reserve last week.  He will miss at least two more games.

On the season, McCrary-Ball has 17 tackles and a forced fumble in three games.

Micah McFadden – New York Giants, LB

McFadden did not play in week five.  He is on injured reserve with a long-term foot injury.

Before the injury during week one, McFadden had three tackles and a quarterback hit.  This is his fourth season in the NFL.  He has 270 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and six sacks for his career.

Myles Price – Minnesota Vikings, PR, KR, WR

After going undrafted this spring, Price is the starting punt returner and kickoff returner for the Vikings.

In a win over Cleveland, he returned three punts for 15 yards (5.0 average).  He added four kickoffs for 102 yards (25.5 average).  He has the most punt returns (17), and combined punt and kickoff returns (33) in the NFL through five weeks.

On the season Price is averaging 10.0 yards per punt return, and 23.9 per kickoff return.

Ian Thomas – Las Vegas Raiders, TE

Now in his eighth year, Thomas is currently the second longest-tenured former Hoosier in the NFL.  After playing with the Carolina Panthers his first seven years, Thomas is now with the Raiders.

In a loss to Indianapolis, he played 38 offensive snaps and two special teams snaps in week five.  He was targeted three times in the passing game and had three catches for 20 yards.  Those were his first receptions since last November.  He received a good run blocking and overall offensive grade by PFF, and a mediocre pass blocking mark.

Thomas has 122 catches for 1,082 yards for his NFL career.

CJ West – San Francisco 49ers, DT

Although he has a broken thumb, West returned in week five after missing one game.

In a win over the Rams, West played 28 snaps on defense and did not record any stats.  He recorded a pressure on the quarterback, but received an overall poor grade at PFF.

He has two tackles in four games on his rookie season.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – Miami Dolphins, WR

Now in his sixth year in the NFL after going undrafted, Westbrook-Ikhine is playing his first season with Miami.

In a loss at Carolina, he played 39 offensive snaps, was not targeted and produced no stats.  He played nearly half of the offensive snaps as he sees a larger role with Tyreek Hill being injured.  He played six snaps on special teams.

Westbrook-Ikhine has 130 catches for 1,799 yards and 19 touchdowns for his six-year career.

    MORE NOTES:

Quarterback Kurtis Rourke is with the San Francisco 49ers on the injured list recovering from offseason knee surgery.

Former Hoosier Michael Penix, Jr. is the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, and tight end AJ Barner is playing a significant role for the Seattle Seahawks.  They finished their college careers with Washington and Michigan, respectively.  Former IU cornerback Kobee Minor has also seen the field this year for New England.  He finished his career at Memphis.
