Of the nine former IU football players who were in training camps but didn’t make NFL teams, four have remained with those same franchises as members of the practice squad.
Here are the four former Hoosiers with NFL teams in that capacity:
- Roman Hemby – Las Vegas Raiders
- Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – Indianapolis Colts
- Raheem Layne – New York Giants
- Cam Jones – Kansas City Chiefs
It’s common for practice squad players to be called up during the season, so we’ll keep an eye on this group.
These practice squad players are in addition to the below 18 former IU players on 53-man rosters at the start of the season.
