Listen in as former Indiana and NFL quarterback Trent Green joined The Fan Morning Show in Indianapolis.
Green discussed IU’s amazing turnaround and run to the national championship game, his connection to coach Curt Cignetti, and impression of quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
Green played under coach Bill Mallory from 1989-92, was a three-year starter, and was the team’s co-captain and MVP in 1992. He was a member of three bowl teams, including the 1989 Liberty Bowl Champions and the 1991 Copper Bowl Champions. In 1991 he established new program records with 2,627 passing yards and 2,829 yards of total offense.
Green followed up his run in Bloomington with a successful 15-year career in the NFL.
