IU football is trending for class of 2027 wide receiver Ja’Hyde Brown out of Christian Academy in Louisville, Ky.
Rivals national analyst Steve Wiltfong has logged a prediction for the Hoosiers to land Brown when he announces his college decision next month.
As a junior Brown caught a state-high 98 passes for 1,556 yards and 24 TDs, leading Christian Academy to a perfect 15-0 record and the program’s fourth-straight championship.
The 5-foot-11 Brown is a dynamic playmaker who can be utilized in a number of ways. He’ll likely work primarily from the slot and possibly as a returner in college.
Based on the average of the national sites, Brown is a 4-star recruit and one of the top-50 receivers in the 2027 class.
Last week he named a final 10 that included Indiana, Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin.
Brown plans to announce his college plans during the Navy All-American Bowl national television broadcast on Jan. 10.
IU has one commit so far in the 2027 class — 3-star national top-30 quarterback Jamison Purcell.
