It took a former Hoosier to end a long touchdown drought in Super Bowl LX. Former IU tight end A.J. Barner was the first player to find the end zone in Santa Clara when he caught 16-yard score for Seattle in the fourth quarter. Barner played at Indiana for three seasons (2020-22) and was a team captain his final season in Bloomington.  He caught 44 passes for 385 yards and five touchdowns as a Hoosier. IU football coach Curt Cignetti trolled Purdue two years ago, the first time he walked on the court at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. This time he waited until after he left the floor. The IU football team was honored before IU basketball hosted Purdue on Tuesday evening.  They brought their national championship trophy with them to center court.  Cignetti took the microphone and addressed the crowd.  That always creates the potential for something memorable to come from the head coach’s mouth.
