Below is the latest IU basketball scholarship chart, rolled forward to the 2026-27 season. Although 15 players may be allowed it is likely the Hoosiers will add no more than 13 players. Scholarship additions over 13 are expected to adversely impact the amount of revenue allowed to be shared with athletes, creating a deterrent for exceeding 13. According to multiple Wednesday evening reports, IU basketball is hiring Thomas Carr as an additional assistant coach. The Daily Hoosier can confirm the news via a source. The move brings Indiana to the allowed total of five full-time assistants. Carr just finished his second season at the University of Louisville as an assistant coach under Pat Kelsey in 2025-26. Carr spent the previous two seasons (2022-23, 2023-24) on College of Charleston’s staff with Kelsey. The Indianapolis Colts reported on Wednesday they’ve signed former IU football wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. The 6-foot-2 and 211-pound Westbrook-Ikhine spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans (2020-24) before playing for the Miami Dolphins in 2025. In 93 career games (42 starts) the former undrafted free agent has tallied 137 receptions for 1,862 yards – for an average of 13.6 yards per reception – and 19 touchdowns. Watch below as former Indiana consensus All-American Trayce Jackson-Davis sat down for an interview with his new team, the Toronto Raptors. After spending two-and-a-half seasons with Golden State, Jackson-Davis was traded to Toronto last month.  He has appeared in eight games for the Raptors since the trade. In 174 career NBA games, Jackson-Davis is averaging 6.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and .8 blocks while shooting 63.1% from the field. IU Director of Athletics Scott Dolson has been named winner of the 2026 NACDA Athletics Director of the Year Award. The series of maneuvers made by Dolson, from hiring Curt Cignetti to retaining him, and corralling the resources necessary to operate an elite college football program, highlight his recent accomplishments. Dolson was honored in the Division I FBS category and becomes the first IU athletic director to win the award, which was first presented in 1999.
