When the 2018-19 edition of IU basketball picked up win No. 12 at home against Illinois last Jan. 3, the NCAA Tournament looked like a near certainty. Ranked No. 21 with a 12-2 record, the Hoosiers were rolling up wins despite a series of nagging injuries. Of course you know the story. Those injuries got worse before they got better, and win No. 13 would not come until Feb. 2. Another three and a half weeks passed before the Hoosiers were able to secure another win, this time on Feb. 26 after two overtimes in Bloomington against Wisconsin. During an…

As reported a few days ago, the Indiana football program has filled the voids left in the wake of former offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer’s decision to return to Fresno State to become their head coach. At offensive coordinator, DeBoer was replaced by former tight ends coach Nick Sheridan. Former special teams coordinator William Inge followed DeBoer to become the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator. In their place will be Kevin Wright as the new tight ends coach, former safeties coach Kasey Teegardin as the new special teams coordinator, and Jason Jones as the new safeties coach. Allen and each of the new…

Early in this 2019-20 IU basketball season it appeared as though we might have moved on from the issue that has seemed to plague Archie Miller during his time in Bloomington. Despite the fact that the three-point line was moved back about 17 inches, the Hoosiers were converting from long range at a meaningfully higher clip than Miller’s first two seasons at Indiana. It appeared that IU had a better collective group of shooters this year, and it seemed like Indiana’s percentages had nowhere to go but up after two miserable seasons. Indiana fans could once and for all blame…
