Are you guilty too? Enduring through a major rehabilitation for a torn Achilles tendon, there were a lot of Indiana analysts and fans alike in the De’Ron Davis doubters camp coming into the 2018-19 Indiana basketball season. The narrative for doubting Davis wasn’t unreasonable. Already not known for his quickness or athleticism, the 6-foot-10 255 pound forward was attempting to come back from what many told him was one of the toughest injuries to recover from.  And it would be doubly difficult on that big frame. Moreover, Indiana (and basketball as a whole really), seems to be moving away from…

Hoosier Nation lost one of its really good players in the program’s storied history, and by all accounts, a better person yesterday. Multiple outlets are reporting that former IU forward Eric Anderson passed away at the age of 48.  The cause of death has not been disclosed. The Chicago native attended St. Francis DeSales High School and was named the 1988 Illinois Mr. Basketball. A 1988 McDonald’s All-American, Anderson came to Bloomington with high expectations and he immediately lived up to them.  He was named the 1989 Big 10 Freshman of the Year as part of IU’s Big Ten title team,…

After two straight two point wins in Big Ten play, IU found a way to make things even closer.  But they also found a way to win again — their third in a row after the loss to Duke, with all three wins coming against respectable opponents. Louisville is a good team.  Chris Mack is a really good coach.  The Cardinals are going to be the real deal down the road.  Any kind of win against a team like this is a good win, and can only help the resume in March. Indiana fell behind early 14-6 and had to…
