Updating the scholarship has become a full-time job in recent weeks. Here is the latest look at Indiana’s projected rosters over the next four seasons after today’s news that redshirt sophomore forward Jerome Hunter will not be back with the team. Indiana University men’s basketball coach Mike Woodson has announced that redshirt sophomore wing Jerome Hunter will not return next season. “We appreciate everything that Jerome has done as a member of the program and wish him nothing but the best in the future,” said Woodson in a release by the school. Hailing from Pickerington, Ohio, Hunter arrived in Bloomington as part of the class of 2018.  Prior to his freshman season he suffered a medical condition in his lower legs that required surgery and cost him the entire 2018-19 campaign. Indiana University and Old Dominion University announced on Wednesday afternoon their football programs will meet at Memorial Stadium to kick off the 2025 season on Aug. 30. An IU basketball legend is returning to the college game for the first time since he delivered a national championship in 1987. The University of Arkansas announced on Wednesday former IU great Keith Smart will be joining Eric Musselman’s staff as an assistant coach. Smart has a long history with Musselman both as a player with the Rapid City Thrillers and Florida Beachdogs and as an assistant coach on Musselman’s staff with the Golden State Warriors. And the man largely responsible for delivering some high end recruits to Indiana in recent weeks would be the reason why if it happens. In many ways Khristian Lander has gone from a prized 5-star recruit to the forgotten man at Indiana. Or young man, if you prefer. After reclassifying to move up a year and join the IU program as a 17 year old last summer, Lander encountered the bumpy road that probably should have been easy to predict for someone his age, but that was nevertheless surprising because of the accolades he brought with him from Evansville.
