As we reported last week, Indiana landed a commitment from Auburn transfer defensive end Jaren Handy. As a recruit in the class of 2019, Handy was a 4-star and ranked the No. 100 overall player in the class and the No. 7 strong-side defensive end according to the 247Sports Composite. He chose Auburn over a long list of offers that included LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Four year men’s basketball manager Andy Murphy is afflicted with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, and his family is asking for support. As a student at IU, Murphy was a four year roommate in Bloomington of former point guard Michael Lewis in the late ’90s and early 2000s.
