The 6-foot-5 Gunn plays for Lawrence North High School on the northeast side of Indianapolis.  The four-star recruit is currently ranked No. 103 nationally in the class of 2022 according to the 247Sports Composite. Lawrence North opens the 2020-21 season on Dec. 4 at Marion. For AAU Gunn plays with the Indy Heat (Nike) program that recently produced Trayce Jackson-Davis. As expected, Indiana’s first loss of the year did not cost them significantly in the national polls. But the Hoosiers did fall after a 42-35 loss to No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday. The Hoosiers dropped from No. 10 to 12 in the coaches poll.  Ohio State (3), Northwestern (13) and Wisconsin (20) are the only other Big Ten teams in that poll.  Next weekend’s opponent Maryland received 13 votes. Indiana proved it belonged in the national conversation on Saturday afternoon in Columbus. But the Hoosiers were also reminded just how difficult it is to knock off the nation’s elite. No. 9 Indiana put up a fight, but 28 unanswered points by the Buckeyes were too much to overcome. IU rallied from a 35-7 deficit and twice had the ball with a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter after its defense stopped Ohio State.
