It’s looking more and more like Mike Woodson will suffer another major miss in the high school class of 2025. 5-star point guard Mikel Brown, Jr. is clearly trending towards Louisville. On3’s two top national basketball recruiting analysts — Joe Tipton and Jamie Shaw — have made public predictions this week on Brown’s profile page that he will end up at Louisville. 247Sports national reporter Travis Branham is making the same call. And these picks are coming very soon after Brown completed an official visit at Louisville. Brown had clear interest in Indiana. He went on an official visit to…

And you thought the spotlight couldn’t get brighter. For the third time this season, ESPN’s College Gameday will be on location for an IU football game, this time for an all-or-nothing playoff game involving the Hoosiers. The network announced they’ll be on location for Indiana’s first round College Football Playoff game in South Bend next Friday. Gameday made their first ever appearance in Bloomington for the full Saturday show when the Hoosiers hosted Washington in late October. The crew also set up shop in Columbus, Ohio a month later when IU traveled to Ohio State. Former IU head coach Lee…
After a wildly successful first season in Bloomington, IU coach Curt Cignetti has already negotiated a new contract which nearly doubles his base pay going forward. And the new deal, much like the original, is replete with opportunities for Cignetti to earn significant bonus money on top of his massive new salary. Prior to the announcement of the 2024 College Football Playoff bracket, Cignetti had already earned the following bonuses: $250,000 for reaching bowl eligibility $150,000 for six Big Ten wins $250,000 for a top-six finish in the Big Ten $50,000 for winning Big Ten Coach of the Year $250,000…

Here’s what year two of the Curt Cignetti era looks like: NON CONFERENCE Aug. 30 – Old Dominion Sept. 6 – Kennesaw State Sept. 13 – Indiana State CONFERENCE Sept. 20 – vs. Illinois Sept. 27 – at Iowa Oct.…
With Kurtis Rourke set to exhaust his college eligibility whenever IU’s CFP run ends, it’s no secret the Hoosiers have their eyes on the veteran quarterback market in the transfer portal. IU coach Curt Cignetti said as much in a recent press conference. Could Indiana make it a family affair in the quarterback room next year? California signal-caller Fernando Mendoza, older brother of IU freshman Alberto, is putting his name in the transfer portal according to multiple reports. Fernando will immediately become one of the most coveted quarterbacks in the transfer portal. While leading Cal to a 6-6 season, the…
Veteran running back Elijah Green is looking for a new home for his final season of college eligibility. The move comes as Indiana prepares for their first round College Football Playoff game. He’s the first IU player to declare for the portal in the December entry window. Several players announced they would enter during the season. The timeline for entering the transfer portal (Dec. 9 – 28) overlaps with the College Football Playoff, leaving players little choice but to submit their names as their teams prepare for the tournament. Green, who transferred in from North Carolina, was productive when given…
Indiana will get an opportunity to land one of the top defensive tackles in the transfer portal. Western Kentucky transfer Hosea Wheeler is visiting IU on Wednesday according to Pete Nakos of On3. A product of Elk Grove, Calif., Wheeler was named First Team All-Conference USA at defensive tackle following the 2024 regular season. The 6-foot-3 and 300-pound Wheeler fits Curt Cignetti’s motto of production over potential. He ranks second on WKU in total tackles with 74, while adding five tackles for loss, two sacks, two quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, as well as two blocked…
Indiana has had a class of 2025 visitor on campus as they look to add to their incoming high school senior class. 7-foot center Fridrik Leo Curtis was on an official visit to Bloomington the last few days. He was at Indiana’s game against Minnesota on Monday evening. IU offered Curtis a scholarship in late October, joining other high major programs like Creighton, Stanford, Xavier, Alabama, Arizona State, UCF, and West Virginia. Curtis hails from Iceland and attends Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science (CATS) Academy in Braintree, Mass. That school is part of the highly competitive NEPSAC league. He just…
The Hoosiers have won four straight and are 1-0 in the Big Ten, but they continue to be an enigmatic bunch. Minnesota and IU played to an early stalemate before a 16-1 Hoosiers run created a 13-point margin with 4:41 left in the first half. The Gophers would never get closer than nine from there. Indiana led by as much as 21 in the second half, but inconsistent play meant they were never able to fully impose their will, pull away, and stay away. Let’s take a deeper look at how IU won 82-67 with our latest edition of The…
