Lamar Wilkerson and Shay Ciezki are both having standout seasons for their respective IU basketball teams. In Big Ten games, Wilkerson is leading all conference scorers with 23.2 points per contest. And in all games, Ciezki is leading all conferences scorers with 24.1 points an outing. On Monday, both players were honored with co-Big Ten Player of the Week recognition. IU basketball has made a new offer in the class of 2028. Michai White announced an offer from the Hoosiers on his Instagram page. White is a 6-foot-1 and 170-pound sophomore point guard from Hackensack, N.J. A consensus top-30 4-star in his class, White is the No. 16 player in 2028 based on the industry average, and the No. 4 point guard. As a freshman White attended St. Benedict’s in Newark and averaged 26 points per game.  He now attends national prep school Brewster Academy. You take wins over Wisconsin any way you can get them. Indiana got off to a fast start, building a 7-0 lead, and then a 26-12 margin with 8:26 left in the first half.  Wisconsin got back to within four before halftime, but IU rebuilt the lead to 52-39 with 13:01. Chalk this up as something to keep an eye on. Verbally pledged to Texas Tech, 5-star defensive tackle Jalen Brewster appears to be reopening his recruitment. The 6-foot-3 and 300-pound Brewster is the No. 1 overall player in the 2027 class according to Rivals.  He’s the consensus No. 1 overall defensive lineman in the junior class. Brewster was asked by Rivals whether he was still solid with his verbal commitment to Texas Tech, and Brewster told that outlet he is not.  That comes after Texas Tech defensive line coach Zarnell Fitch’s contract was not renewed by the school this week.…

Indiana shocked the college football world on New Year’s Day. How did one of the game’s titans get completely dominated by one of the worst programs in history? That dynamic — traditional SEC power vs. traditional Big Ten doormat — might have contributed.  Alabama linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green shed some light on his team’s mindset going into the game.
