They scored by ground, air, block and return in the first half as Indiana jumped out to a 35-0 lead in their home opener against BCS foe Idaho on Saturday night at Memorial Stadium. The Vandals put up a fight, scoring late first half and early second half touchdowns that sandwiched a sixth Hoosier foray into the end zone.  But this one was never in doubt as Idaho was no match for IU’s sturdy defense and explosive special teams.  Indiana moved to 1-1 on the season with a 56-14 blowout win. Indiana has formally entered the mix for one of the top shooting guards in the class of 2024. On Saturday, Rockingham, N.C. based Paul McNeil, Jr. announced he was offered by the IU basketball program. McNeil announced the offer on his Twitter page. https://twitter.com/PaulMcneilJr/status/1436753695560118275?s=20 Standing at 6-foot-6, McNeil attends Richmond High School. Indiana will play in front of its home fans for the first time in nearly two years on Saturday when it hosts Idaho in Bloomington. It can still be a bit staggering to watch the burst of speed Tevin Coleman could produce out of the backfield at IU.  And that burst often led to breakaway touchdown runs by the Illinois product. Here you can see all of those big plays in one place.  The Big Ten Network put together a video of Coleman’s greatest plays at Indiana. In 2014 junior season Coleman became the 18th player in FBS history to reach 2,000 rushing yards in a single season.  He was Indiana’s third unanimous and consensus All-American and he finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy voting. …
