Will Indiana fill its final available scholarship on its 2023-24 roster? It’s getting down to closing time in the class of 2024. Indiana is sending all three of its assistant coaches on Sunday to the 2023 USA U19 Men’s National Team Training Camp at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Indiana has to replace several walk-ons from its 2022-23 team. One of the new non-scholarship players will be James Goodis of Winter Park, Fla.  He is listed on the IU roster as a 6-foot-1 and 170-pound guard. Goodis is 2023 graduate of Montverde Academy in Florida, where he played for a regional team under the direction of Coach Kevin Boyle.  Montverde is the same school that produced Hoosiers Jalen Hood-Schifino and Malik Reneau, and several current recruiting targets. Former IU basketball All-American Alan Henderson was featured on CBS Saturday Morning. The profile focused on his business venture.  Henderson owns and operates Henderson Spirits Group. Henderson played at IU from 1991 to 1995.  As a senior, he scored 20 or more points on 24 occasions and recorded 49 double-doubles in his four years. He set IU’s career rebounding record with 1,091, topping a record set 34 years before. For the fourth time in 11 years, Kennesaw State will venture up to Bloomington for a December nonconference game with IU. According to a report by Rocco Miller, the Hoosiers will host KSU on Dec. 29 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Indiana struggled against the Owls last December in a poorly attended game due to bitter cold temperatures. The Big Ten Conference announced on Thursday afternoon it’s new approach to football scheduling beginning in 2024 when UCLA and USC join the league. The new schedule model includes nine league games per year, 11 annual protected games, and every league matchup is guaranteed twice in four years (home, away).  In connection with those changes, the conference no longer has divisions. Class of 2024 wing Caleb Williams announced on Thursday he has narrowed his recruitment. Williams will choose from Villanova, Michigan, Indiana, Syracuse, Georgetown, Virginia and Miami (Fla.). The 6-foot-7 Williams took multiple visits to IU over the last year.  A 3-star prospect, he ranks as the No. 117 overall player in the 2024 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
