Michigan based tight end Brody Kosin is Indiana’s first commit in the class of 2024. The Clarkston, Mich. Former Miami (Florida) forward Anthony Walker is transferring to Indiana, he announced on Saturday. Walker took an official visit to IU this week and wasted no time deciding on his next spot.  He posted a video to his Twitter page with the caption “extremely blessed… now it’s time to work Indiana.” https://twitter.com/Antgotclout/status/1652357354019495942?s=20 The 6-foot-9 and 215 pound Walker played four years at Miami and has one year of eligibility remaining with IU. A fourth non-conference high major opponent for Indiana’s 2023-24 schedule has surfaced. According to a report by Jon Rothstein, IU is planning to face Auburn in Atlanta this December. The Daily Hoosier has learned the teams do intend to play, but the final terms have not been finalized.  The game could be on Dec. 9, the same weekend IU played Arizona last season, but that has not been confirmed. The first of what will be several mid-major opponents IU basketball will face next season was announced on Friday. According to a report by Jon Rothstein, the Hoosiers will take on Harvard as part of their 2023-24 non-conference slate. Crimson head coach Tommy Amaker will lead Harvard for a 17th campaign in 2023-24.  They finished this past season with a 14-14 record and were ranked No. 158 nationally at the end of the year according to KenPom. The transfer portal is still doing its thing here in late April, and one of the best guards in the country entered on Friday morning. Penn’s Jordan Dingle is in the portal according to multiple reports, and we expect IU to make a push. Dingle was the second leading scorer in the country this season and the Ivy League player of the year for 2022-23. It won’t be easy to pull the top player in Michigan to an out-of-state Big Ten school, but Trey McKenney is enjoying a national recruitment, and Indiana is one of the programs making a hard push. The 6-foot-5 McKenney is coming off a massive sophomore season while playing in the Detroit suburbs. They are going to give it a shot with class of 2023 Mackenzie Mgbako, a former Duke commit.  He’ll be taking a visit to Indiana according to a report by Adam Zagoria. According to Zagoria’s report, Mgbako will also visit St. John’s, Kansas and Louisville. Mgbako played at Roselle Catholic High School in Gladstone, New Jersey.  He is a 5-star according to the On3 Consensus, and the No. 8 overall player in the 2023 class. The 6-foot-9 and 215 pound Walker played four years at Miami and has played in 125 games during that span.  He has one year of eligibility remaining. A Baltimore product, Walker is coming off a senior season that saw him play 10.2 minutes per game while averaging 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest.  He played 13 minutes for Miami against Indiana in March and scored four points and added two rebounds.
