The son of one of Mike Woodson’s former star players in the NBA is planning to visit Indiana. According to Adam Zagoria, class of 2025 guard Kiyan Anthony intends to visit multiple schools, including IU. The son of NBA great Carmelo Anthony, Kiyan also wants to visit Florida State, Syracuse, and Michigan. No dates are set. The 6-foot-4 Anthony attends Long Island Lutheran H.S. in New York. It appears Indiana will get class of 2024 top-30 guard Annor Boateng’s last visit this fall before he makes a college decision. In July, the Little Rock, Ark. product narrowed his recruitment to eight schools — Arkansas, LSU, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Auburn and Indiana. Based on a report this week by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Boateng will make it to just six of his top schools, with Indiana in the desirable spot of getting his final visit.  As we reported over the weekend, Boateng is taking an official visit to IU in late September. Indiana is going to start off the month of September with multiple top-50 class of 2025 prospects on campus. The group will include recent IU offer recipient Darius Adams, who has an unofficial visit scheduled for Sept. 2. The visit was posted to Instagram by Tipton Edits and shared by Adams. Adams’ Bloomington visit coincides with the IU season opening football game against Ohio State. Indiana got a visit from Michigan based point guard Jonathan Sanderson on Wednesday. The 6-foot-2 Sanderson started as a freshman at Saline H.S. (Saline, Mich.) and had a massive first-year campaign.  He was named second team AP all-state after averaging 19.3 points, six rebounds, four assists and 1.5 steals per contest. Indiana has named five captains for the 2023 season. One class of 2025 player from the DMV IU has been in regular contact with this summer is small forward Nate Ament. A 6-foot-7 wing from Highland H.S. Indiana will be on the road during Thanksgiving week for a second straight year in 2024. According to a report by Jon Rothstein for College Hoops today, the field is set for the 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis. “Arizona, Gonzaga, Indiana, Louisville, West Virginia, Creighton, Oklahoma, and Davidson will headline the 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis,” Rothstein wrote. Indiana should get three games against teams in the field.  The bracket has not been released. Mackenzie Mgbako was named a McDonald’s All-American and a 5-star recruit before he arrived at Indiana. Now he can add Diaper Dandy to his long list of accolades earned he steps on the floor in Bloomington.
