Indiana has been in regular communication with class of 2025 4-star wing Hudson Greer for a while. On Wednesday he told 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins IU is one of the schools he’d like to visit. A pair of former IU basketball stars have new deals on Sunday according to multiple reports. The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a deal with former IU basketball one-and-done star Eric Gordon, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Terms of the deal were not immediately reported. The 34-year-old Gordon was reportedly highly sought after this offseason, per Charania, and turned down more lucrative offers to sign with the Suns. He reportedly considered the Golden State Warriors as well as the Houston Rockets, according to The Athletic’s Kelly Iko. Gordon was traded from the Rockets to the Los Angeles Clippers midway through this past season.…

One of the main stories of Indiana’s offseason has been Jalen Hood-Schifino. The one-and done point guard was drafted in the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, and his lone season at IU has been on the mind of most of the program’s top recruiting targets in the class of 2024 and beyond. Former IU star Thomas Bryant will play for the Miami Heat next season according to a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1675193225735282690?s=20 Bryant joined Denver in February and got a championship ring. Former Hoosiers Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller played with Miami and faced Bryant in the NBA Finals.  Oladipo has since been traded to Oklahoma City and Zeller is a free agent. Bryant did not play at all for the Nuggets during their playoffs run to the Finals. Isaac Green has garnered a lot of respect in both the IU basketball program and beyond, and Woodson has found an expanded role for the New Jersey product. The schedule includes a head-to-head matchup between two former IU stars. Indiana finished 40th nationally, with 581.5 points, in the LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Division I standings after the final standings update of the 2022-23 year. The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today.  The competition serves as a good measure of how Indiana stacks up against the other Division I athletic departments in the country.
