Here’s where IU basketball’s 2025 recruiting targets are ranked in On3’s latest update

Beginning this weekend, high school players are back out on the road for national tournaments, and soon coaches will be on the road as well, as prep recruiting kicks back into high gear.

When it comes to high school recruiting, in focus will be the class of 2025, which features five players from the state of Indiana in the national top-150.

On3 updated their rankings for the class of 2025 this week.  Here are some quick notes on Indiana’s main targets.

    ————————

No. 11 – Bryson Tiller (PF) – Tiller is a consensus top-11 prospect across all four of the major national ranking outlets, and a 5-star according to three of them.  Frequently mentioned as a reclassification candidate, the 6-foot-9 and 230-pound Atlanta product told The Daily Hoosier in February his plan was to stay in the 2025 class.

No. 13 – Jalen Haralson (G/SF) – The top ranked player from the state of Indiana in the class, Haralson is a consensus top-15 player across all the national outlets, and a 5-star according to the three of them.  The 6-foot-6 Haralson recently named his final nine schools and should make a college decision this summer.

No. 14 – Trey McKenney (CG) – The highest-ranked player from Michigan, McKenney will be hard to pull out of that state.  But Indiana has been after the 6-foot-4 guard for a while and has good relationships.

No. 21 – Malachi Moreno (C) – The 7-foot center is a consensus top-60 prospect and a 4-star according to all of the national outlets.  He’s improving as a perimeter shooter, and moving up the rankings because of that.  With a proven record of developing big men, Indiana has a good chance, but home state Kentucky cannot be overlooked.

No. 23 – Mikel Brown, Jr. (PG) – Brown took a visit to IU in February.  He’s the second-highest ranked point guard in the class, and probably IU’s top target at that spot.  The Southern schools will be hard to beat, but Indiana has been pushing hard for a while.

No. 24 – Darius Adams (SG) –  A teammate of Haralson at La Lumiere, Adams is the kind of elite shooter the Hoosiers need.  The 6-foot-4 New Jersey product is a consensus top-35 4-star in the class.  Adams visited IU with Haralson in the fall.

No. 30 – Kiyan Anthony (SG) – The son of Carmelo has been moving up the rankings as his game continues to develop.  A visit to IU by the 6-foot-5 Anthony has been long rumored.  If that happens, Mike Woodson has a good chance to be among the top suitors for the son of his former player.

No. 82 – Braylon Mullins (SG) – The best shooter in-state shooter in the class, Mullins has solidified himself as a high-major prospect over the last year.  Indiana is pushing hard for the 6-foot-5 Greenfield, Ind. product, who is now a consensus top-100 4-star.

No. 101 – Aleks Alston (F) – Hailing from Chicago, the 6-foot-8 Alston is another Midwest sharpshooter who is ranked 101st or better across the board, and is a consensus 4-star.  He visited IU in the fall.

No. 104 – Trent Sisley (F) – Along with Haralson, Sisley was offered by IU before he played a high school game.  He’s been a regular visitor to Indiana since, and a priority target.  The Hoosiers are battling Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan State and others for the 6-foot-7 southern Indiana product.

No. 126 – Azavier Robinson (G) – Indiana offered the Indianapolis (Lawrence North H.S.) product in the fall.  The 6-foot-1 guard has got some three and four-star rankings

    OTHERS STILL ON THE RADAR

    No. 3 – Caleb Wilson

    No. 4 – Darryn Peterson

    No. 7 – Meleek Thomas

    No. 10 – Nate Ament

    No. 15 – Darius Acuff

    No. 38 – Chance Mallory

    No. 61 – Tyler Jackson

    No. 65 – Kai Rogers

    No. 66 – Amari Allen

    No. 74 – Akai Fleming

    No. 81 – Jordan Scott
