Former Indiana forward Race Thompson’s next basketball move is uncertain. The Minnesota native signed a summer deal with the New York Knicks, and he was supposed to play for the franchise this week in Las Vegas. But according to multiple reports, Thompson is dealing with right knee soreness and he’ll miss the Knicks summer league action from July 8-14. Thompson also injured his right knee in January and missed four games. Indiana has been in regular communication with class of 2025 4-star wing Hudson Greer for a while. On Wednesday he told 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins IU is one of the schools he’d like to visit. The Hoosier state has a pair of consensus top-50 prospects in the class of 2025. A pair of former IU basketball stars have new deals on Sunday according to multiple reports. The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a deal with former IU basketball one-and-done star Eric Gordon, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Terms of the deal were not immediately reported. The 34-year-old Gordon was reportedly highly sought after this offseason, per Charania, and turned down more lucrative offers to sign with the Suns. He reportedly considered the Golden State Warriors as well as the Houston Rockets, according to The Athletic’s Kelly Iko. Gordon was traded from the Rockets to the Los Angeles Clippers midway through this past season.…

One of the main stories of Indiana’s offseason has been Jalen Hood-Schifino. The one-and done point guard was drafted in the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, and his lone season at IU has been on the mind of most of the program’s top recruiting targets in the class of 2024 and beyond.
