One of the state of Indiana’s legendary high school programs has a player on the IU basketball radar in the class of 2025. The 6-foot-8 Briscoe shows early potential as a power forward or small ball center who can also play some on the perimeter.  His shooting splits were 59 percent from two, 27 percent from three (51 attempts) and 64 percent from the stripe. Briscoe will attend Indiana’s…

Two critical components to one of the best offenses in IU football history are in the news this week. Unfortunately for IU’s all-time passing yards and touchdowns leader Nate Sudfeld, the news is not good.  His 2023 season is over before it started. According to multiple reports, Sudfeld suffered a torn-ACL in a Detroit Lions preseason game, and he’ll miss the entire campaign.  Sudfeld was competing for Detroit’s backup quarterback role. Paging former IU football coach Lee Corso. We need a “not so fast my friend.” Nothing comes easy in the world of recruiting 5-star basketball players. While there’s been recent noise suggesting Indiana is in a leading position for class of 2024 5-star forward Liam McNeeley, the Hoosiers have serious company. For a while it seemed at least conceivable a Sept. 8-10 visit to IU would be McNeeley’s lone visit this fall, but reports out Monday say he’ll take at least two more in September. ESPN’s Paul Biancardi said McNeeley will go to Kansas this weekend, September 1-3.  Later this…

As we’ve reported on multiple occasions, Indiana has been running at or near the front of the pack for class of 2024 5-star forward Liam McNeeley a few months now. But it’s always notable when the national outlets chime in with confirmatory views. On the latest edition of  the 247Sports’ College Basketball Recruiting Weekly podcast, national recruiting analyst Eric Bossi did just that as it relates to the Montverde Academy top-10 forward. “McNeeley is a guy that I think they’ve (Indiana) emerged as a clear leader for,” Bossi said.  “Texas and some of the other schools are in there, but…

It’s been nearly two years since Indiana offered class of 2025 wing Caleb Wilson. He was the third player the Hoosiers offered in the 2025 class, right after in-state stars Trent Sisley and Jalen Haralson. The 6-foot-9 Wilson is now a consensus 5-star.  He’s the No. 4 overall player in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Average. Indiana has…
