The Hoosiers trailed 41-33 at halftime.  IU was led in the game by Kel’el Ware with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Malik Reneau added 14 points and six rebounds. They’ve done it again. The Indiana women’s basketball’s home game on Feb. 22 against Iowa is officially sold out, the program announced on Wednesday via release. It will be the second sellout in as many seasons.  The Hoosiers sold out Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall against Purdue last February. The Hoosiers have shattered attendance records in recent years and under 10th year head coach Teri Moren. They have claimed nine of the top 10 all-time attended games in program history, as four of the top five games have been set in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. The program saw nearly doubled…

Indiana isn’t finished pursuing talent for what has become a pretty impressive wide receiver room. According to a report by national 247Sport reporter Matt Zenitz, James Madison transfer wideout Elijah Sarratt will visit Indiana and South Carolina in the coming days. Sarratt was named first-team all-Sun Belt Conference after catching a team-high 82 passes for 1,191 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023, helping James Madison finish 11-2.  Over the Dukes’ final six games, Sarratt had over 100 receiving yards in five contests. While Indiana appears likely to see two starters return on Wednesday, Nebraska has a chance to get one of their own back in the lineup. Cornhuskers center Rienk Mast will be a game time decision as Big Ten play resumes in Lincoln, Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg said. After a bit of a sluggish start, Indiana freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako seems to have turned a corner.  And people are noticing. He was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon. The Gladstone, N.J., native averaged 13.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists on 6-of-16 (37.5%) shooting from the 3-point line in a trio of non-conference games against Morehead State (Dec. 19), North Alabama (Dec. 21), and Kennesaw State (Dec. 29). As is the case throughout college football each season, Indiana’s roster will look quite a bit different in 2024. In total as of Tuesday morning Curt Cignetti’s Hoosiers have added 17 players from the transfer portal.  They also have another 17 players from the high school ranks set to join the team in 2024.
