Indiana guard Armaan Franklin is in uniform warming up for tonight’s game against Purdue.

The sophomore from Indianapolis has missed the last two games with a rolled ankle that he suffered over a week ago against Maryland.

Franklin is averaging 18.8 points over his last five full games.  Overall he is IU’s second leading scorer at 12.7 points per contest.  Franklin is the Hoosiers’ best 3-point shooter, making 47.6 percent from long range.

The Daily Hoosier’s Dustin Dopirak is live on the scene at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.  He reports that Franklin is “moving a tad gingerly” but believes Indiana’s second leading scorer has the look of someone getting ready to play.

“So far Franklin warming up like he’s playing,” Dopirak reported on Twitter.  “Haven’t seen any particularly bad signs. Would be surprised if he’s not in the lineup.”

Dopirak later added “Franklin’s good to go” after watching the Hoosiers run through layup lines.

The Daily Hoosier learned via sources that Franklin was a full participant at Wednesday’s practice.

On his pre-game radio spot, IU coach Archie Miller said Franklin is “not 100 percent” and might not play significant minutes against Purdue.

Dopirak is also reporting that junior point guard Rob Phinisee is warming up.  Phinisee injured his knee in the first half of IU’s last game against Nebraska.

“Rob Phinisee is warming up too just in case there was any concern about his knee,” Dopirak wrote.

Phinisee played through the injury at Nebraska.

On his pre-game radio show, Don Fischer reported that Rob Phinisee “probably practiced less than Armaan Franklin this week.”

Miller said on his pre-game radio segment that Phinisee had a sprained knee that required an MRI.

Graduate transfer Parker Stewart is also with the team tonight.  This is the first time Stewart has been with the team for a game.  He is not in uniform and not expected to play anytime soon.  Head coach Archie Miller gave an update on Stewart on Wednesday.

Indiana (8-5, 3-3) and Purdue (8-5, 3-3) tip at around 7:05 p.m.  The game will be televised on FS1.
