Arkansas State Game Essentials | Robert Johnson Projections on All-Time Lists

    GAME INFORMATION

    Opponent:  Arkansas State (KenPom #211)
    Tipoff: 7:00 p.m. ET
    Date: Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017
Location: Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall; Bloomington, Indiana
    TV:  BTN

Indiana is a 12.5 point favorite.

The teams have played a common opponent in Howard.  IU beat Howard 86-77.  Arkansas State beat Howard 92-78.

The Red Wolves play in the Sun Belt Conference.  Last season they finished with a 20-12 record.  All-time, Arkansas State has made one NCAA tournament (1999, first round loss to Utah) and four NIT appearances (1987-89, 1991).

    ROBERT JOHNSON CAREER STATISTICAL PROJECTIONS

Robert Johnson passed 1,000 points in the Seton Hall game last week.  He is now in 49th place on the IU all-time scoring list with 1,032 points.  Jay Edwards is 48th with 1,038 points.  With nearly a full season to go, the senior guard is likely to move his way up several of IU’s all-time statistical record lists.  Based on his career averages, we’ve projected (prior to any postseason games) where he might end up in several statistical categories, and what company he would be keeping on those lists:

    Points

    Current:  1,032 points (49th)
    Projected: 1,295 (29th)
Between:  Tom Bolyard and Joby Wright

If Johnson continued on his current average for the 2017-18 season of 13.5 points per game he would end up with 1,383 points, putting him in 23rd place between Jimmy Rayl and Andrae Patterson.

    Assists

    Current:  270
    Projected:  339 (15th)
Between:  Chris Reynolds/Isiah Thomas and Butch Carter

    3-Point Field Goals Made

    Current:  173 (10th)
    Projected:  225 (4th)
Between:  Jordan Hulls and James Blackmon, Jr.

Depending on the number of postseason games the Hoosiers play in, Johnson could also crack the top 10 all-time games played list.
